So I currently manage the first responder team for a large organization, but I only handle the corporate locations in my state. I've been one person doing this for years with absolutely no help. I've had nothing to go off and its just a simple program and I have about 60 responders. I met with someone today in the company and his new position is on the safety side. He wanted to meet with me to vamp up the program and make it huge. We talked for about 2 hours and its going to be great! I'm going to make my group of 60 double and give them more responsibilities and recruit more etc. So neither of us have experience with emergency response teams for disasters and things other than first aid CPR. He has seen plans for other companies in the past but nothing on paper. Does anyone have any experience with teams like this? Any pointers or tips. Things to do or not do. I'm excited bc if we can make this program great here and iron out kinks then we get to roll it out to all other corporate sites, which is the goal. I'm excited bc its also going to bring back a small role of travel which I used to do and have not done here in years.
