How does a mother of three not recognize ANY signs of pregnancy or labor?
Apparently it happens enough for their to be a show about it.
I could never understand how they found THAT many people who gave birth without knowing that they were pregnant.
I mean...there were four seasons. How in the hell?
I have a friend who could have almost been on that show. She didn't find out until she was something like 7 months pregnant. She was super skinny, but never really showed. Just looked like she had a little too much Jack in the Box. Which I guess was good for her since she had just had a tummy tuck/ body lift. So that whole situation wasn't blown to hell...
It amazes me how many men don't go back for follow up seamen analysis. I hate having to explain that to men at work.
I know. Trusting souls. I'm surprised it took seven (well, six) years for one to stick. But then, I didn't go back for an ovum check when my ligation was done.

lol at seamen. Little sailors.
That happened to someone here, didn't it? Currently PG with a surprise baby bc her H never went to a follow up appointment and the V was like 5 years or something.
See Smace, that's something I'd expect a Mother of 2 to already know. She had 2 kids before...she's felt this feeling before. Even if she blocked out the idea of being pregnant and was in such a frame of mind that no way could she be pregnant/I just feel queasy, you'd think active labor would trigger a feeling of "hey..I've done this before"
Yah really. I've never been pregnant but you'd have to assume you'd realize what a special kind of pain you're in when you're body is trying to evict the tenant.
I still maintain that some people just don't know they are pregnant, but I think it's usually first time Moms who aren't thinking about pregnancy or getting pregnant. But even still, I don't think it happens as often as people say it does. I've only ever met 1 person this happened to. She's the only person, in real life, anyone has ever told me about/I've met/I know.
But everyone brings up a good point of how do you have 2 kids and miss that you're pregnant? I can understand the concept of her losing weight through running and not noticing those kinds of changes, but someone that has been pregnant before would know what a baby kick, a hiccup, a heel to the rib-cage, feels like. And labor.

I know I'm not making this up.
It also happened to a doctor I work with. Go figure it happens to two docs that should know better.
