This weekend's episode was crazy. They had a girl go from no running to a full marathon in 6 months. The furthest she'd run before the marathon was 10 miles. She also had a torn meniscus for the race. I was hurting just watching. We to promote smart training ABC.
Ugh. I can't imagine running a full marathon with my longest run being 10 miles. What a terrible idea. Was it planned that way? Or did an injury get in the way of her training?

I think they wanted her to get up to longer distances but they only told her she was doing it 3 months before. It sounded like she had the meniscus injury for about half that time so she couldn't run any farther than that leading up to the marathon. H and I were almost screaming at the TV what a bad idea it was to try for the full.
I thought I had heard it wrong when she said she'd only gone 10 mi before the race. I didn't hear the part about the meniscus tear. Who thought that was a good idea? She did a really amazing job overall, though. And I really hope that tattoo is gone now.
I caught the end. Did they ever focus on food/intake? Everything I saw was exercise related.
They show a cooking lesson at the beginning and a fridge full of veggies at the beginning but that was it. She couldn't have been eating too much. She was losing almost a pound a day for awhile.

The tattoo had her goal weight on it.
There were several scenes of them going over her meal plan & putting it together in individual containers.
