1. i like the essie base coat that's like a pale greenish color.
2. i use a sally hansen "insta-dry" topcoat. it's probably not the best in the world of topcoat professionals, but it dries super quickly and is available at target.
3. i don't use glitter nailpolish, but to get rid of stubborn nailpolish sometimes after a few rounds of remover + cotton balls/pads, i'll switch it up to paper towels. they soak up more remover, but are a bit tougher.
But I got some great glitter polish this winter and ended up having the chip it off with a cuticle tool after soaking my fingers in nail polish remover
I always do foil wraps for glitter polish. Soak pieces of cotton ball in remover, put on your nail, then wrap a square of tinfoil around it to hold it in place. Let it stew for 10-15min and it should come right off.
I usually do one hand at a time so I can play candy crush while I wait.
1. I use OPI's ridge filler as a base coat. I'm rough on my nails, and it's the one thing that has helped keep me from ruining them. I've cycled through top coats, and I haven't found one I love. 2. Try saturating a cotton ball/pad or paper towel and hold it on each nail for several seconds. By the time you get back to the first nail, it's usually loosened up the nail polish a little bit.

I highly, highly recommend the Butter London system. They're hard-wearing, the colors are beautiful, wearing just the base and top coat looks great, and they're even Leaping Bunny approved.

This works so well, Amelia told me about it when I tried those nail cover things.
I use Zoya's anchor for a base coat. I don't use a top coat. I tried seche vite but it shrank after drying and kind of pulled the polish with it.

Essie Good to Go works like Seche but without the shrinkage!
