If it would crisp up, it'd be fine. I just don't like squishy bread, even if slightly toasty. I just like the way butter gets crisp and doesn't soak into the bread.
Taste wise? Tastes the same, you wouldn't know it had mayo.
I am. If it can be eaten with a fork, I'll use a fork. I picked this up as a kid and never shook it, I don't like greasy fingers. Plus I had to be able to stab pieces of dill pickle with pieces of grilled cheese. Perfect ratios and all.
You have to get the butter in the pan hot but not burning and lightly spread the mayo Add one slice of bread mayo side up heat until light crisp I take it off and add more butter Then the next slice Heat a little add cheese and the top with the other slice flip a few more times and walllla
If this doesn't make since message me tomorrow I've drank to muck tonight
Wait wait wait, so you grill the mayonnaise side of the bread? Or does the mayo side face the inside with the cheese. I'm real confused. Mayo on inside sounds fine, mayo on outside, no no no. Butter goes on the outside.

I put my mayo on the inside of the sandwich with the cheese, and then I use butter on the outside. Healthy, no. Delicious, yes. I still remember the first time I had a non-mayo grilled cheese in my childhood. I was at a friend's house and I couldn't figure out wtf was wrong with my sandwich, lol.
