I just finished Inferno last night....it was okay. I also starting Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler. It is due back to the library Saturday :/ I always get myself in trouble in the "Popular/New Release" section...Those books are 7 day check-outs only, no renewal. I grabbed these 2. However, I'll probably read a lot tonight & tomorrow by the pool. I may be able to finish it.
It is summer in Memphis--bleh. We didn't have a long spring. Today is actually cool & breezy, with a high around 80. But I hear we're hitting the 90s for the first time next week
I just started A Thousand Pardons by Jonathan Dee. I'm only a chapter in but it sucked me in right away, so I think it will be a good one. I'm also reading Much Ado About Magic by Shanna Swendson, the fifth in the Enchanted Inc. series. It was only available as a ebook for a long time and my library never got the paperback version, so I'm finally reading it with the kindle app (which is growing on me a little).
It is still officially spring here and feels like it. It's only been in the low 70s this week, and I wish it were warmer because I am ready to spend the afternoons at the pool. I think last year at this time we were well into the 90s most days.
I am reading The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. It is for a work planning committee, but the first couple of chapters have been good.
It is spring in Erie - rainy and cool (low 60's), should warm up to the mid-70's this week, last week it was in the 80's. I feel confused everyday by the weather!
I'm still reading The Brothers Karamasov. I'm guessing I have one more week with it. I'm also reading You Suck: A Love Story by Christopher Moore. I needed something lighter. I've laughed out loud a couple of times, but it's not spectacular.
It's been beautiful here for months now. "Climate Best by Government Test"
I am reading book 3 in the Gallaghers of Ardmore trilogy by Nora Roberts. It's Heart of the Sea. It's pretty good so far, though I'm only like 50 pages in.
QOTW: Technically it's still spring here, but it feels like summer. It's been raining a lot so it's either pouring rain or humid as hell. If it's not raining, then it's either hot or HOT, depending on how Mother Nature feels.

Almost finished with Recipe for Treason. I really haven't enjoyed the series because I have so many issues with the history and research, but I want to finish the overarching mystery, so I am willing to put up with the last 6 chapters. I will not be buying any further books by the author though.
QOTW: It's southeast of Melbourne, Australia and we are in winter. Though it's still mild like autumn. I am ready for the cold weather, but I could do without the weeks of unrelenting rain we had last year.
I'm trying to finish Into Thin Air. I'm kind of bored of it since I know the whole story of events that happened. I might just end it early. I'm sort of jumping around from book to book on my e-reader. I think I might start reading The Fault in Our Stars but I heard it's an ugly-cry book. I might re-read A Discovery of Witches and imagine Benedict Cumberbatch as Matthew Clairmont (Ugh, I know. I've got such a bad crush on that ugly-sexy alien otter.)
QOTD: It is still technically spring but it's pretty sweaty out. Highs are in the low 90s. Lows are dipping, just barely, into the upper 60s/low 70s. It's just going to get hotter and hotter from here on out until probably mid-to-late October. Texas has the following seasons: Summer, Summer, Christmas, Summer. We're in summer.
I just got back from vacation, so I'm late checking in. I'm listening to Rising Tides by Nora Roberts (we vacationed in VA Beach, so the setting was good!) and reading Busting Vegas. I'm really enjoying Tides, but Vegas was good for beach reading but not so much for back-to-reality reading...
It is 70* and grey and rainy here today. Early June is always a weather crapshoot in PA.

I was also on vacation last week and didn't have much time to read. But I managed to get through The Selection and The Prince by Kiera Cass on the plane ride home.
I live in Hawaii, so it is pretty much always summer, lol.
I'm in Upstate NY. The weather has been all over the place recently. Sunny high 80s one day followed by five cold/rainy days. Ready for summer to really start!
It's not Friday, but I guess I was busy over the weekend. I'm finally reading American Gods. About time.
QOTW: It's summer in Norway. The weather has been great! It's been in the 60s and 70s quite a bit lately, so I finally have a chance to wear some of my summer dresses. There's still been rain, but we've managed to get some sun in the evenings and weekends, so everyone is hopeful that it will get up into the 80s this summer.
I finished fault in our stars by John green and city of thieves by David Benioff (the guy who does the game of thrones adaptation) most recently. I have several books I'm thinking of taking to the beach this weekend: probably I'll take looking for Alaska and game of thrones (on Kindle) but I also have the first 2 books of the black dagger brotherhood series, the first book of sookie Stackhouse series and one other book I can't remember now.
Qotw : I live in the same place as AJL (hi!) and it's been hot this week so far (mid 90's) and I've been swimming with my toddler everyday.

Hi, welcome! I loved TFiOS and I'm on the waiting at the library for Looking for Alaska.

I forgot, I also started Molly Ringwald's story collection (when it happens to you) on my kindle and I've only had a chance to read the first chapter but I liked it so far. Has anyone read it?
ETA: AJL,you should read fault in our stars, it's a heartwrencher but it's a good read and not that long. I loved it.

persa and christy082, besides The Fault in Our Stars, I've read Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns (and Will Grayson, Will Grayson, which he co-authored). The Fault in Our Stars is definitely the saddest, but I enjoyed them all. Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns are somewhat similar to each other.

Oh yes- Will Grayson, Will Grayson is the first one by him I read. I loved TFiOS, even with how sad it was. I'm looking forward to reading another one of his that he alone wrote. I wish Looking for Alaska was ready for me but there are still 17 people ahead of me to borrow it.

OMG I love that NR quartet! Easily one of my favorite series ever.
