I posted this on ML, but will post it here as well.
I was really, really hoping they wouldn't show Grey Wind's head on Robb's body.
Not surprised that Ygritte shot Jon - hell hath no fury and all that.
I loved seeing Sam meet Bran - when we weren't sure who was out there and then it's revealed to be Sam, I said (out loud) "Yay, it's Sam!" I don't know what it is about the character/actor but I just love him.
It was nice to see the light-hearted moments between Tyrion and Sansa. I think if circumstances were different, those two could be a nice match. Shae really should heed Varys' warning - he should know, look what happened to Ros. I do like how connected she feels to both Tyrion and Sansa though.
Could have done without all of the exposition about Theon's favorite "toy," although they finally revealed who his tormentor is. I *almost* feel sorry for Theon/Reek. His father is still an ass and I won't be sorry at all for him to die.
Ayra and the Hound - best platonic pairing since Ayra/Tywin.
Loved Jaime's return home - a far cry from his departure from King's Landing to take on Robb's army. I was flashing back to when he arrived at Winterfell, every inch the arrogant Prince Charming. How he has grown...and grown apart from Cersei.
Joffrey...I am counting down the days to Season IV and the Purple Wedding.
Dany had a real coming of age for me this season - she was less spoiled child, stomping around, shouting her name/taking this that and the other by fire and blood and turning into a true queen, one who wants the best for her people.
I can't believe we have to wait NINE MORE MONTHS...although at least True Blood will start next week.
I cannot wait for season 4! I think they did a good job of getting everyone's storylines to a good place. I love the dynamic between Arya and the Hound.
There is still a lot from book 3 to happen so I'm curious to see how next season will be.
It was very good end, though a bit slow compared to last week. I was sickened to see the head on Robb, but it was needed to lay the groundwork for Arya, imo.
I, too, loved Tyrion this episode and he really lays into his father and Joffrey.
Even Cersei describing being a mother was touching, even to Joffrey.
Shae definitely should have heeded that warning. Definitely.
I love the relationship that is developing between Arya and the Hound. As much as she wants to get away, she knows she needs him.
I haven't read the books other than Book 1, but I know that at some point Joffrey is going to get his. And I can't wait. What a spoiled, entitled asshole. Tyrion and Tywin putting him in his place and treating him like a child was the best.
Do you think Gendry will really get away in that boat? He didn't get much of a head start. I found it interesting that Stannis and the Red Woman think they had anything to do with the slaying of the Starks at the Red Wedding.
I don't think it will be long before Shae and Tyrion's relationship is found out.
I think Gendry will get away (his story on the show has departed from the books at this point), so I see him sticking around for some time. Clearly, Melissandre has bigger fish to fry than him now.
Of course, she and Stannis think they - well, the Lord of Light - are responsible for Robb's death (i.e. the leeches and subsequent burning of said leeches/saying of names). And just think, Balon Greyjoy and Joffrey were on that list of names....hehehehehehe...

I wanted to throat punch Joffrey so bad when he was acting like a giddy little child about Robb and Lady Stark's death and wanting to "serve" Robb's head to Sansa at his wedding. I'm glad Tyrion and Tywin put him in his place. Sending him to bed without dinner, lol.
I also like the relationship between Arya and The Hound. Although I wonder where it is they are planning to go now that Robb and Lady Stark are dead. I was glad to see Arya got a little bit of revenge on that soldier guy.
I'm interested to see how Brienne fits in at Kings Landing. I predict Cersei will have some jealousy issues.
I think Shae should definitely leave town. I get that she's not into Tyrion for the money, but she has to know how dangerous it is for her stick around, not only for herself but for Sansa and Tyrion too.
I'm not sure what the point of Theon's story line is now. Although I guess it's nice that his sister wants to save him though. I still don't quite understand who it is that is holding him captive.
Overall, I thought it was a good finale that tied up a lot of story line's and set things in motion for next season.
Finally watched this last night. I thought the final scene was kind of a let-down, especially after the epicness of the dragons in S1 and the white walkers in S2. I was hoping for the reveal of Lady Stoneheart, but I guess I can see why the show writers didn't want to introduce her just yet.

He is being tortured by Roose Bolton's bastard son, Ramsey Snow. Roose was in on the Red Wedding on behalf of the Lannisters, and has now been named Warden of the North, so he is accumulating quite a bit of power, but he doesn't have a son/heir other than his bastard, who he sent to take Winterfell back from Theon.

Yes, and the adventures of Ramsay and Reek are just beginning. Stay tuned, lol.

First- thanks hyacinthgirl. DH has read the books and he keeps me straight on some of this, but I didn't know this aspect.
I'm reading book 3 now and just got to the point where Robb tells Caitlin about getting married...while I liked in the show that there was a lot of gravity with the slaying, I think the relationship in the book makes more sense. Robb was so dumb to forsake his promise to the Freys for this nurse who brought nothing to the table for him...at least in the book he feels like shit and she has an old family name.
