Probably brownies, but I've recently decided to devote my baking to trying new pies. I haven't made a pie with my own crust since I lived in the states. I never perfected a crust, so that's what I'm on a mission to do. I think I want to get a cookbook that specializes on pies and bake my way through it. Or, just look up recipes online.
A super easy apple pie. I posted the recipe below on the NL foodie/bechamel thread, but can post it again.
Before that, it was a ham-pine nut loaf. I have the recipe posted on my blog (link in siggy), the 5/29 entry. That happens to be my latest entry since I have been too crazed to update it.

I made cornmeal bread on Saturday and a Hot Milk Cake with Mocha-Chocolate Frosting on Friday. The bread was better on Tuesday when we toasted it than it was fresh. The cake was good no matter when we had it but the frosting got to be more coffee-flavoured and less Mocha-Chocolate as it aged.

DDs birthday cake. I make (American) bisquits quite often. I know its sad but I would like to make my bday cake in a few weeks lol also I haven't had oatmeal cookies in a while...might give those a go!
Just like popcorn I haven't had an oven for a while (actually 4 months now!!!!), and I really miss it. The last thing I made I think was pumpkin bread.
Lactation cookies. Lol. They taste really good but I'm not sure they are doing anything.
Please tell me these are not made FROM lactation but FOR lactation.
Haha, yes. They are supposed to help increase your supply. They are basically oatmeal cookies with added extra flax seed and brewers yeast. They just taste like oatmeal cookies. Even DH was eating them and he is definitely not lactating!
Did them both for bookclub and then brought some to my grandmother, who is recuperating from a broken ankle. My shortbread is very popular... even N liked it (and it is normally too "short" for young kids to like it...)

It was either a strawberry rhubarb pie or strawberry shortcake. Not sure which. And if I had some berries right now I´d be down in the kitchen whipping up another shortcake.
Answer needs to be updated with an almond and coffee crumb cake. Yesterday. And it's all clogged's fault for talking to me about cake flavors. DH thanks you!
