Hi ladies. My 9 year old lab is having recurrent anal sac issues. The vet gave us special food but I'm wondering if a raw diet would be more benficial for him. Can anyone explain what they feed their dog on the raw diet? I googled, but I keep coming up with crummy articles on the pros, but no real info.

I feed a pre-mixed raw because honestly, it's 100x easier. I feed Bravo. I like the pre-mixed because I don't have to worry about balancing muscle meat vs bone vs organs. It also has vegetables in it. I add supplements, like Bravo recommends, but it's really super easy. Most days he gets chicken or turkey, and every few days he gets a red meat. Every now and then we mix in yogurt or egg or random chicken scraps, and that's it. There is a lot of info on Bravo's website that I found helpful when we decided to switch to raw.
My dog gets a pre-mixed raw too. The break down is 2/3 meat and bone and 1/3 veggies. It's so easy because all I have to do is defrost a roll and feed. She alternates between chicken, beef, lamb, duck and pork.
I add in a scoop of multi vitamin, a bit of a fish oil supplement, a little yogurt and some steamed veggies (if I have some extra).
