I would mention to your realtor that they are trying to see the light fixture. If that is included in the contract then you either need it or need to be compensated for it.
Um, the seller's agent needs to crack down on that ASAP. They can't sell stuff that's included in the seller's disclosure. I would be livid. We just closed last Friday, so I completely understand the headaches. Hopefully you close soon!

I can't stand that kinda of bs. Sorry they're being assholes about it. Last year we had a seller try to remove all the fixtures in the bathroom. I had to contact their agent and remind them if it's attached it stays! Not a hard concept you would think.

i'm sorry this is happening to you .. personal property v fixture is no fun.
h and i were days away from signing a contract for a house when while doing the appraisal, i noticed that the built in bar had been REMOVED leaving the exposed plumbing. h contacted our agent who was in contact w/ the bank's agent (it was a bank owned foreclosure)and tried to get a break on the price - bank wouldn't budge and we walked away from it.
Yeah something similar happened to us too. We put an offer in on a house this past weekend that listed the washer and dryer as being included. We looked at the house last Thursday and it was still there. We went on Sunday and they were gone and the seller's agent said they were no longer included. Not a huge deal, but the washer and dryer were nice and it was one less thing to replace/worry about. We didn't make a stink about it because we were already engaged in a bidding war vs. cash buyer and we love the house.
They also removed the light fixture over the pool table after we looked the first time but before our offer was accepted. Again, it sucked, but we didn't make a big deal about it because we wanted the house so badly.
ETA: And that is ridiculous about the furniture. On the last house that we had we offered on we asked the seller if the built in was included and he said yes. He later tried to remove it, then he offered to sell it to us for $1500. It was the type of built in that would only fit in a certain type of home because of the curvature so we told him piss off and fought him on it. The bank denied our short sale offer and foreclosed on the house so in the end it didn't matter anyway I guess.
Yeah the guy we bought our house from in April did similar things. It was a divorce situation and he was moving to an apartment.
He had a bunch of stuff he wanted to get rid of and had us over the weekend before closing. He rattled off what he paid for it all, so like $1100 for and ugly floral couch and $800 for metal desk. We went back a few days later and just low balled the hell out of him for the things week actually wanted (patio furniture, extension ladder, chest freezer). He told us he was leaving an ugly Coors Light light in the garage like he was doing us a favor when I reminded him that it was a fixture,and our anyway. The ex wife did want the brass 1990s chandelier in the dining room but she mentioned that when we first saw the house so I was fine with it. NMS anyway.
He ended up not moving half the stuff he tried to sell us and thought he was doing us a favor. I donated most of it and it was a huge pain in the ass. Never again! I haaaate moving and I hate dealing with people when it's as emotional as moving usually is.
