June Birchbox

I had hoped mine would come today; I got the shipping email for that and my Ipsy bag last week but I haven't received either yet.

I got one of those Mirenesse pencils in a past box; I like it but mine was a different shade. I hope I don't get a repeat this quickly.

I got one of those pencils a couple months ago too. I like the idea of it, but it's SO bright. It's a nice red, but I feel like a hooker when I wear it (I never wear lip stuff). I'll have to try it on my cheeks.

how is ipsy? Waiting on my birch box.

Not bad; some of the samples are odd but so far there's been one decent full-size product each month. I've only been getting it for two or three months though so I don't know what's typical for them.

I thought about trying it despite my totally irrational hate of Michelle Phan. But then the questionaire was far too long for my attention span.

I have one color club polish from last summer that I loved. Don't care for the other colors I have though.

Davines 3-step system---I love the scent of the shampoo, but not totally convinced by the set
Suki exfoliate foaming cleanser---a HG product for me already
Color Club Mod in Manhattan---meh
Oscar de la Renta Something Blue---it's okay

I got the Klorane dry shampoo a few months ago. I love the scent although I almost never use dry shampoo.

So I happened to have the lip pencil on when some friends picked me up last night and we all decided it was horrible. It's like neon pink. I tried it on DD and even she couldn't pull it off. It's horrible.

mfluder - either I spoke too soon about Ipsy, or I jinxed myself, because this month's bag is horrid. Why did I answer 5 million questions only to get glitter eyeshadow and luminizing pencil, whatever the hell that is?  There is a gel eyeliner, but it's *gray.* And a taupe lip pencil. omg. For those days when you want to look like a corpse....

Did Ipsy used to be My Glam? I subscribed to MG for 2 maybe 3 months and finally stopped because I was getting a lot of shimmery and glittery items, and really nothing much of what I'm interested in. The products skewed a bit young for me, so I stopped my subscription.

I'm not sure; I hadn't heard of them before a couple months ago. The glitter eye palette is definitely young, but the gray eyeliner and taupe lip pencil are just bad in general. If July isn't significantly better, it will probably be my last month with them. 

ETA: Oh lord - the glitter palette is actually body glitter. As if it could have gotten worse. lol.

Mirenesse glossy kiss, haven't tried this yet, but it looks DARK
Something Blue perfume sample
A twistband with seahorses on it, which is sort of cute, I guess, but I don't know that I'd ever wear it. I threw out the first couple I got because I thought they were packaging

I thought the pink lipcolor was SO BRIGHT but others thought it looked good on me and even my husband liked it. So I guess it's a keeper.
I never use dry shampoo so that's kind of a waste. And this is the first time I've got Suki and I'm excited to try it finally.

lol, you didn't! My Birchbox made up for it anyway. I got the Davines trio, which I like a lot, a little mineral powder, the coral nail polish shade, and an Oscar de la Renta body scrub. This is the first box in a long time where I genuinely like every item.
