Ok, so my 17-month-old daughter's hair seems to want to just grow down/forward from her crown and even though I part it every day and have been since she has had enough to part, it just goes all in her face after like an hour. Does she need baby product? Do they make that? Do I just give in and cut her some bangs? I do bows/barrettes/pigtails, but I'm looking for a solution when it is "down." Poor thing's hair is just always in her eyes. Thoughts?
They are great because She can put them on herself now. She just turned two, but we've been using them for several months. Plus, they are gentle, and i just throw them in the wash with the rest of her laundry which shrinks them back into shape if they get stretched out too much.
I have the same problem with one of my girls. I do use a leave-in conditioner that helps nominally, but her shock of front-hair is permanently clippied to the side. Otherwise, it is always, always in her face.
I start parting the baby's hair and combing it to the side when I wash it in the tub. Through the day I'll put in barettes (which she pulls out) and wet my hands and smooth it to the sides and behind her ears. Head bands are the best solution yet, but they don't last long either.
i'm just waiting for her to be older. she'll just look jacked up in the hair department for a couple years. better now than when she's in school, i figure.
Thanks, ladies. Sounds like I am not the only one in this boat. The kicker about her hair is that not only do I have the parting problem, it is also straight as a board in the front and curly in the back. No idea what is happening there. I will look into the headbands and otherwise resign myself to constant clipping, smoothing and/or bang-cutting.
