Is there any way to prevent my all my friends from seeing all my comments, likes, etc.?
For example, I just commented on a friend's picture. My mom then liked the picture. My mom and this friend are not friends, so I assume she saw the picture because it popped up on her feed that "lust2hart commented on a picture."
This also happens to me, that I will see random people's pictures because one of my friends comments on it. This really clutters up my news feed.
I don't have the timeline, if that makes a difference.
I'm pretty sure that they have to unsubscribe to you. It's kind of random, because I asked H what he can see, and he sees only some of my 'likes', etc. FB is a turd. A turd that I can't quit.
I could be wrong, but I think the reason your friends see them is because the person owning the pictures has them set as "friends of friends". If their pics were "friends only", then your other friends wouldn't see your comments on them.
I don't think you can block your comments if the pictures are available to your friends, kwim?
Oh and I commented on a random person's videos because I thought my friend posted them. Nope, she just commented on them. I was all "Oops, I see these are not papiesfriend. Hi, I,m papie. Ok, bye now".
I've had this happen to. I've posted pictures, tagged Fiance, and then his friends, who I am not friends with, can comment on them. But my settings are only set to "Friends Only" so who knows.
I'm addicted to FB but their so called privacy settings can suck it.

For most things after commenting or liking etc you can go to your page and you'll see it listed there. From there you can tell it not to post in your feed. It sucks that you have to do it every.single.time, but it's at least an option

This isn't quite the same thing, though. My situation would be like if you posted a picture, didn't tag FI but he commented on it, which then allowed his friends to now see/like/comment on your picture.
Either way, though, it's annoying - on both ends - because I've got my mom (or whoever) liking or commenting on my friends' stuff when she has no idea who they are, AND I get random crap in my newfeed when one of my friends likes or comments on a stranger's status/photo.

Ahh, okay.
I just noticed something like this a few weeks ago. I have my profile set to private - or at least I thought I did - but every so often I'll click on the button that says something like, "Here's how your profile appears to the public" just to make sure things are still on the up-and-up. And when I did this a couple of weeks ago, I found that my photos were showing up. Turns out that even though I have my profile "set to private," I still have to go into EVERY photo album and set that to "friends only." WHY??? Ugh!

If you put your pictures in an album then you can avoid this. Go to the settings of the album, choose "custom" (not "only friends") and there's a box you can uncheck that says something like "allow friends of tagged people to comment". But you can't do this for generic albums, like Profile Pictures or Mobile Uploads. So every time you upload a picture you'd have to put it in a specific album in order to avoid this.
What I hate is that when I put up pictures of the girls and my FIL comments on them then all of his friends see his comment and can comment back. I wish I could prevent that from happening.
