Hey! How is everyone doing? Anyone have any big updates?
I have my first appointment with a new PCP next week and a new GI the week after that. My big problem right now is that my bowels are revolting against me after every meal. I mean, every single one. I'm hoping this new doctor is willing to do more than give me a "diagnosis" and refuse to offer me any treatment options for it. I am more than ready to make some sort of progress.

Carrots, I hope you hear back on the results soon and the stomach pain goes away. Waiting is the worst, but especially when you are still in pain!
Pixie, I did have a similar problem last year after eating and it made me not want to eat at all. It also didn't matter if I ate the blandest chicken & rice meal or something greasy, I had problems no matter what I ate. I really hope you can get some help soon and get back to feeling normal again.
No real news to report for me, no treatment until next month for me and luckily I am feeling good. I wish I could ditch my massive appetite lately, but that really doesn't have anything to do with GI issues.

Carrots- I hope you get your results soon.
My stomach still hurts as usual. I still need to get surgery. Right now, I'm trying to deal with some abnormal bleeding. I'm on medicine to make it stop. Once that stops, I'll focus on my stomach issues again.
pixie - It's going on a month in a few days. If I don't hear by next week I'll give a call. In some cases they will just send a letter (although I haven't seen anything in the mail yet). But my doctor did say that he would want me to come in for a follow up and discuss results, if for no other reason I have a "turbulent colon"...still don't know what that means but I think he said something about lots of twists and turns.
that's such a long wait!
I knew right after my procedure that my colon was clear. they called a few days later with biopsy results (also clear).
Stress sucks, that's my update. No matter how careful I am about what I eat or how much I try to get enough sleep, exercise, etc., when I am going through times where my brain can't stop racing through "to do" lists and I can't sit still for 5 seconds without feeling guilty, inevitably my digestive system goes haywire. I have been popping Tums like nobody's business because even drinking water gives me a stomach ache lately.
Hopefully when we're done moving and I've settled in on the other side, I'll feel better. But I am going to schedule an appointment with my previous GI for the end of July, just in case.
I just had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and I have a hiatal hernia (sliding) and I had a polyp in my stomach (due to long term prilosec use- apparently common, they took it off). Colon looked good thank god! So I'm basically dealing with IBS (especially after my gallbladder was removed a few years ago), and this hernia. I'm thankful because I know it could be worse! Coming up on 10 years this October cured from non-hodgkin's so I definitely will take this over the big C word any day!
