I found a vet today who was able to give my dog her shots and they board as well. So I have her set up to go in Friday morning until Tuesday. I'm actually VERY glad I took her to this place, they are so friendly and so much sweeter than my previous vet. She also got prescribed prozac for her anxiety as well as non-medicine related suggestions.
The viewing is Friday evening. My Husband works Thursday night, gets home around 7am Friday, we are tossing everything in the car and driving the 4.5 hours up. Check in at the hotel, head over to my grandma's, and see how it all plays out. Then my Dad mentioned the entire family going to dinner. There will be no burial.
Then we have to have a few days of family meetings with all aunts/uncles/cousins/extended family to deal with my grandma, the house, the land, etc.
My parent's are staying up until Monday so we are just going to mirror our trip to theirs but come home Tuesday.
I feel like we are bleeding money but hopefully we won't have to do this again for a few more years. My grandpa was almost 90 years and lived a long life and he has been ready to go for years; he never let us forget that.
