I've never understood the concept of lying out in the sun. It sounds like my version of hell. (Ironically, I live in the desert.) If that sounds like a relaxing day to you, do it. Just make sure and wear sunscreen and sunglasses and drink a lot of water.
I absolutely hat being hot and would not lay out in the sun. Currently I"m sitting up on the bridge of our boat under the bimini (canvas "roof") so that I'm in the shade and ca feel the great breeze. It's hot here today and I don't do hot. I'd probably be inside in the air conditioning but it stopped working, not sure if it's the pump or something plugged it up. H is working on it now.

I'd do it but not without the misting sprinkler and I'd wait until it isn't the hottest part of the day (so after 2:00). Or take frequent breaks to go inside, like every 15 minutes. I probably wouldn't stay out more than 45 minutes to an hour.

With the hose, you'll be ok.
As a teenager I used to lay out in 100 degree weather slathered in baby oil with the sprinkler spraying me. It was all fun and games until now at 30 I have to get a few moles cut off every year
This post makes me nostalgic for when running through the sprinkler was one of the most anticipated summer activities. Of course, I'm pretty sure it was the only thing that made us stop whining about the heat before we got central air in the house.

The heat index is 97 here and I am dreading going out and doing some quick yard work (just trimming/weed eating). AND we have cloud cover. It is still miserably sticky.
