Does anyone have any home remedies to get mosquito bites to stop itching? Our backyard is awful with them but I want to be able to use our yard in the evenings.
Ever since I was little, I have attracted mosquitos no matter what, and the bites swell up and get really big. When I sit out, I have 6 torches going around our patio burning citrenella, three citrenella candles on the patio table, and an Off clip-on on me. I still have about 15 bites on my arms and legs.
Mainly I just want to stop the itching. I have tried both Calamine lotion and aloe vera lotion (which I read was supposed to help) but neither really did anything. I'm up for trying anything, even if it sounds weird. I would just like something not toxic to dogs as my dog will try to lick me if she smells something different on me.
I've fallen in love with vinegar as I've been recovering from my epic sunburn. I think it may be my new coconut oil. Put it in a spray bottle and just spray yourself down every time you start feeling itchy. It's heavenly.

There are certain home remedies that have been passed down through multiple generations in my family and vinegar for a sunburn is probably my favorite. Glad to hear it's helped you.

I had actually never heard about it until the recommendations I got here, but so many people mentioned it that I figured it was worth a shot. :]
