I don't want to gross anyone out, but I don't know if I should go to the doctor or not. During your period do you ever get not blood clots but like tissue clots or something? It's happened twice, I'm on BC, and it freaks me out.
I won't go into detail because if you don't know what the hell I'm talking about there's no point in disgusting everyone.
This is gross, and you notice it more on BC than you do naturally, but this is the lining of your uterus being shed off. It is a part of your natural cycle, so it's nothing to worry about. I was freaked out at first too and called my doctor thinking that something major was going on, nope, just another nasty that comes with being female.

Does it usually happen after you've been laying down?
I discovered that my bleeding is always more clot like when I've been laying down. The blood and everything has a chance to sit in there and coagulate a bit so sometimes that can be a cause and it's nothing to worry about. Also, if you're still worried, swirl it around in a water a bit to see if it will dissolve. Usually blood will dissolve and tissue won't.
Wow. I never really thought about it that much. Probably since my all my cycles have been pretty heavy and clots were the norm. So glad I haven't had and don't have a cycle for a while. :::knock on wood:::
