I know there's Bethesda Crab House, and Quarterdeck in Arlington (which I've never been to, but gets good reviews and has an all you can eat crab feed for under $40 per person). Most of these places will require reservations and a hard headcount.
Should we stick to the DC area, or aim toward Baltimore?
I'm in!!! If its not metro accessible, I'll need to hitch a ride, but other than that, no preference! I'd like to get up to Baltimore and check it out!
I don't think I could bring myself to eat crabs outside of MD. LOL. Cantlers is the best, but always a long wait. Like you can't get in the parking lot if you get there after noon.

Yeah and not during a big navy weekend. We usually end up over the bridge, but that could be too far for some. What about Mike's? Or somewhere in Eastport? That area has changed so much since I left.
I haven't been for crabs in Annapolis for years but I remember not being a huge fan of cantlers, which is apparently unpopular here lol. But I mostly get crabs in Baltimore.

Cantlers used to be awesome 15ish years ago but it gets a lot of tourist traffic and service isn't always great. Plus location makes it sort of a PITA. When I was a teen it was the place. Most people we know go onto the eastern shore.
Mikes is still good, also I think a few places have opened up north in Severna Park area.
Mike's is a really good recommendation as well. It's not in the big time downtown Annapolis so you can get in easier.
matildasun, you should go - I am nervous about going as you can see but I think my curiosity and how much I love this forum are outweighing my wimpy-ness.
