I ordered some bras from barenecessities.com and I've been noticing a trend with these, as well as ones I ordered elsewhere. The bras seem to fit but the bra feels like its too high into my armpit and the straps are too wide. I wouldn't be able to wear a tank because the bra is too wide. Anyone else encounter this?
This isn't a picture of me but its a woman with the same issue.
They recommended to try a different brand but I've tried 3 different ones
I had the same issue. Wound up trying on about 15 different style/cup size combinations before I found one that fit right and felt good. I got 2 Soma bras in 2 different styles and they are 2 different sizes. It's really annoying.
I just noticed that the descriptions say "UK sizing". That explains a lot. I'm a 38FF in UK sizing but I ordered US sizes. The other place I tried was the Lane Bryant underwear store (I forget the name) because it was the only place I could think of that had large cup sizes around here. I think that brand in general just didn't fit right.

Cacique, and yes their sizes do tend to run a little large.
Yes, but I think it's because of my build. My bras are very comfortable and they don't cut in anywhere, but they definitely stick out when I try to wear a tank top because of where the straps are.

This is one big reason why I have to buy bras in stores and not online. Sometimes that means that the cup is too big, but sometimes it's just the bra. I HATE when the underwire stabs me in the armpit.
I'm 5'9. I have broad shoulders. Needless to say, I have never had this problem before. But I ordered in US sizes and not UK sizes so the bras were too big. I ordered some in my correct size so we'll soon see!
Are you under 5'4"? I am and have the same problem with bras. The Wacol petite bras work much better for me.
There are petite bras?
How did I not know about this. Off to check wacol's site...
edit: Oh, they're not short people petite, but boob petite.
I am short-petite, my boobs are very far from boob-petite.
Apparently I'm completely wrong about what kind of bra I have lol. But herroom.com does have a category for short people petite bras. www.herroom.com/petite,bras,513,001,10.html You can search for your size.
