I have my fitting scheduled for next week and I'm supposed to bring "undergarments." Does this mean what I actually plan on wearing underneath the dress? I'd like to have cups sewn in because it has a very low back but should I bring a strapless bra with me?
I was thinking about wearing spanks, but I find them kind if of uncomfortable. It's not a big deal if I decide to wear something else after the fitting right?

I think it can make a real difference in the fit of the dress. If you plan on wearing shape wear, get it now and take it to the fitting. Gowns that are fitted perfectly look 10 times better, IMO.
I have tiny boobs and had cups with some padding sewn in and it was fine. The dress also had a corset top so that helped too. If you have big boobs, I have no idea what that entails lol
I wore those sticky cups and regular underwear. My dress was so fitted on top it would have made a huge difference if I changed the undergarments. If Spanx aren't comfortable don't wear them, but you probably won't be able to change your mind on the day since they make a significant difference in fit.
I just had cups sewn in and went without a bra. The bodice of the dress was tight and I had a great seamstress. My boobs are average - 34C, although the method tells me I'm a 30DD/E.

Yes it does!
It's your wedding day, you are supposed to be gorgeous, not comfortable, lol.
I wore a corset. It was awful, but I looked amazing ;-)

Pretty much this. Lol.
It was over 100 degrees, in August, in Houston, and I had on a bustier (which I had also had tailored) thigh highs, a crinolin, and a full length gown. Lol.

It was worth it!
That's impressive. I was just proud of myself for keeping my heels on all night.
I have huge boobs and wore nothing underneath. If it's a sturdy dress like most are, a lot of women don't need anything except the dress to be taken in.

I always tried mine on sans bra. I had cups sewn in, but even without, the top on mine was so structured, that I didn't even really have to try it on with a bra. I would either wear a strapless to the fitting, or if you can't "see" anything through the dress, might go without since you want cups sewn in.
I only wore underwear under my dress.
ETA: I'm a 36D (at least I was at the time of my wedding) and the cups sewn in were totally sufficient. But like I said, I had a really structure/tight fitting bodice on my dress.

I'm not married yet, but the sewn in push-up cups on my dress offer enough support because the dress is tight, has boning, etc. I haven't used "the method" yet but I'm probably a UK 28FF or 28G, too, so pretty busty.
I had them rip out the cups (who the eff is actually a B cup anyways?!) so I could wear a strapless bra that actually fit. But my dress was a very high back. I wore normal undies.
My dress is very fitted and has a low back, so I don't even know if I could find a strapless that would work. I kind of want to wear lacy blue boy shorts under the dress...but spanx would probably make things look better
Yeah. You'd have to wear stockings to hold the skirt slip down, but mine were really comfortable, actually, and your H would probably be thrilled. VS sells stockings in lots of colors.
