UGH. I already fucked up taking my new BCPs

My doctor started me on Lo Loestrin and apparently I was supposed to take it the day my period started.  I am on autopilot with BCPs as I have been taking them forever, and I completely forgot that these are not a Sunday start.  I will call the office tomorrow to see what I am supposed to do. 



This is bullshit.  I really wish my H would get a vasectomy.

I'm on Lo Loestrin too and you can start on sunday. I read the insert just to make sure and I started last Sunday.

I think you can start on Sunday if your period starts on Sunday. Mine started on Wednesday :*(

I took one Sunday and today but the insert says to take the first pill on the first day of your period.  My doctor told me the same thing  when I went to see him but it was over a month ago and I was taking the old brand of pills.  I totally forgot the new pill taking rule until today. 

I think it is because this is a super low dose pill.  It may need to be in your system a few more days to prevent ovulation but that is just a guess.

You can start them on the Sunday after your period, you just have to use backup bc for the first week. After that you should be good to go.

I'm reading directly from the Lo Loestrin instructions: Instruct the patient to use non hormonal birth control backup during the first 7 days she starts taking Lo Loestrin if she begins taking it any other day than the first day of her menstrual period.
