Bad: I have a very sore throat and a bit of an earache. I hope it goes away for the long weekend.
Good: I got my first quarterly bonus at work. $177 (lol). All money is good money, especially since I just bought 3 pairs of shoes, perfume, customized mugs, lip gloss and blush online this week.
Bad: DS 1 is home sick and I have a crapton of homework to finish before 3:00. I've basically given him free rein over the TV so I can get my work done.
Good: SCOTUS success and SB 5 failure! Also, I finally got my hair cut and colored yesterday and I looooove how I look right now.
Bad: Actually nothing thus far. It's been a pretty good day!
Good: I took L to Kindermusik this morning and it's so fun. I love the time to talk to other moms and play with her. It's great quality time. And she wanted to nap like immediately afterwards!
Bad: I have to go to this church group thing tonight where they will certainly "pray for our country" because of the SCOTUS decisions. And I will get all twitchy, eventually leave, and piss off my H.
Good: I had more to do today at work than I have in the past few weeks.
bad: USSC rulings and related excitement have SERIOUSLY impinged upon my billable hours today. SERIOUSLY. granted, i had a hearing later this week cancelled and so a lot of work happened to simultaneously go poof. but, damn. i need to get on the ball.
Bad: H's doctor appointment was like twice as expensive as we thought it would be
Good: The ruling has me all giddy today, H called me practically squealing. And an old friend is coming into town tomorrow to stay with us over the weekend, I'm rally excited!

Good- H started his new job
Bad- found out today that he will be leaving for work an hour before I get home from work and will be getting home when I am fast asleep. For MINIMUM WAGE! They apparently decided not to tell him until today when he went for orientation that they are not giving him even close to what he asked for.
Yes, I know this sounds petty. But all he cares about is now he will have money to skydive with (when does he plan to do that?!) and has no care for the fact that we will basically never see each other since I will be leaving for work long before he gets up. I could totally get on board with it if he was making enough for it to be worth it!
Good: still on a high from seeing Boys II Men, 98 Degrees and NKOTB last night.
Bad: just found out FIL is at the hospital getting a CT scan. SIL whose a dr is there with him. We are just waiting by the phone to get some news. He's lost a lot of weight without changing his eating or exercise habits. SIL got his bloodwork back this afternoon and his blood glucose was 399 .
Bad: I barely slept last night. By the time I managed to fall asleep and stay asleep for more than an hour, it was so late that I decided to sleep in as long as possible instead of getting up and doing homework. I finally got out of bed about 40 minutes before I had to be at work, so I was in a major rush to get out the door.
Good: I had a long talk with my boss today, and she told me she's impressed with how well I took my review last week and how hard I'm working on improving the issues we discussed. She said she can tell that I'm taking it seriously and if I keep doing what I'm doing that I won't have any problem meeting expectations at my 30 day re-review.

Bad: I am stuck in Chicago. I was supposed to be home by 5 today but the stupid weather cancelled flights and moved me to tomorrow then back to today and then too much of a delay so I would miss my connection. So I am hoping to get out in the morning. I have no luggage here since it got checked earlier today. I miss my kids.
Good: DH is amazing and doing well with the kids. They all seem happy.

Bad: A lot of you know already about my interview today.
Good: I'm so inspired by Jamie Lee Curtis' scene in True Lies with the hotel scene, that I decided to do her ab workouts she did before filming that scene. I managed to put on a thong today without fat creeping out of it. 500 crunches and sit ups every other day!
Bad - one of my favorite people at work was forced out/quit today. Good - My kiddo was super cute when I got home from work. Ran over and gave me a big hug.
Good thing: DD1 spent the morning in camp with her best friend. I got lots of time to play with the baby. Then we all went to the pool this afternoon with a new friend of mine and her daughter. The only down note was that DD cried when we had to leave to pick up my H.
Bad thing: I got through this day on 3 hours of sleep because the baby inexplicably woke up at 3 am and wouldn't go back down until 6 am. DD complained endlessly on the way to H's office about having to leave the pool, saying that her life was so hard. OMG, I just couldn't handle that, was all "think of the children who have never been to camp, who have never seen a pool! Who don't have enough to eat!" Yeah, I went a little overboard.
Bad: I forgot orientation for the girls' school and we had trouble finding the children's concert tonight and only made it to the last song. (Oops x2).
Good: I made carrot cake cupcakes and now I know how to get to the children's concert place and can arrive on time next time and the kids can get the full effect. Plus, I picked up a cheese pizza for the kids on the way home from the one song concert and they ate a lot.
