So H's birthday is next week. I wanted to get him a titanium ring to wear instead of his wedding ring. He's mentioned this a number of times, since his ring is just a tad too big when he is cold, and he's afraid it is going to fall off at work, especially in the winter.
I knew they were cheap, but I expected them to be around $100. They're like $20-$30 on Amazon. Are these just really shitty rings, or is that really how inexpensive they are? I looked on Blue Nile, and they don't even carry them. :\ They do have carbide rings though, which I kind of liked too.
My H has tungsten. We bought it specifically because he didn't want to lose something more valuable. It has been seven years and he's never misplaced it (for long) and it looks fantastic.

Dh and I have matching black titanium rings, we love them, they are light weight, comfortable and pretty much indestructible. I think we paid $13 each, we are very happy with them
My H had a tungsten ring. He loved it, as heavy as a gold one the same size, and scratch proof. They will shatter if dropped on a concrete surface, but otherwise they are nearly indestructible! When we were looking, neither of us really liked the titanium. It was just too lightweight.
This. And the dropping thing has to hit a certain spot on the ring (it's an area of weakness meant to be there in case it needs to be cut off).
My H has a tungsten carbide ring and he really loves it. It was about $100 if I remember correctly. You can't re-size it and if it hits a ceramic surface, it will break, but we have fake tile and carpet, so it doesn't bother him. He is a mechanical engineer and is very hands on at work so it was important to him that it be scratch proof. It also looks pretty cool.
H has a tungsten carbide ring and he loves it. It doesn't scratch and since he plays softball and tinkers around with cars and lawnmowers and stuff, he likes that it can be broken off if he hurts his finger and it swells. And he can open beer bottles with it. It's his favorite party trick
