So as part of my ongoing networking looking for a new job, I'm participating in WIN's Women Opening Doors for Women event tonight (hosted by the AFL-CIO), and then going to a dinner party hosted by Planned Parenthood about women's health (particularly reproductive health) in the context of the 2012 election.
I'd like to look professional, but (a) it's a gazillion degrees, (b) I'm a soooo tired of wearing my black suits (and my grey suit jacket is currently at the cleaners), and (c) I actually just recently bought this white suit that I've been dying to wear.
I think it's perfect. If you're worried about being too over-dressed, is the shirt something you'd be comfortable wearing if you took your jacket off?
Thx, wf.
I think it would depend on the crowd. I may or may not have that blouse in multiple colors ( ), and I've definitely taken my jacket off at other events, and these ARE mainly non-profit peeps, but I AM also looking for a job, so....
