man, i judge it bad. a lot of my coworkers go there regularly because there is one down the street and they are always like, "oh, you're still doing that? their food is good, so." when i tell them i refuse to eat there.  wtf? yes, i am still adhering to my belief that their choices of organizations to support is fucked up and i will not give them my money.

Agreed, it's not hard to avoid when you know a portion of your money is funding anti-gay groups. Yes, it's difficult to be a super conscience consumer, and I'm not saying I always am, but CFA is such an obvious one to give up. I judge too.

A lot of heads of companies have opinions that would probably piss me off.

The difference for me is that not only is he vocal with his opinions while representing his company, but he has given Chik-Fil-A dollars to hate organizations. That is enough for me to never eat there again.

Yep, but again - his money = his decision on where it goes.  Don't like it, don't eat there.  I can find at least 2 other chicken sandwiches that taste better elsewhere...

You're probably right.  Unfortunately the U.S. is full of people who could give two shits as long as they can fit a chicken sandwich in their piehole.  But.  But!  It's kind of like buying a popsicle from the kid that likes to scream 'F*ggot!' at people.  You don't want to associate with him, let alone give him your money.  And, I think more people are realizing this d-bag CEO is that kid.

I don't understand the 'meh' attitude, obviously.  I think that every comment could alienate more people, however many, however few.  And, after the last mess w/r/t that place, they didn't need another 1950's comment from Numbnuts McGee, kwim?

LOL - you're right -they don't need another 1950's esque comment!  I would hope that it wouldn't help sell any more chicken for this guy - but there are a shit ton of bigots out there who will probably go buy 20 sandwiches just because he hates gays.  I would certainly put this comment right up there with good ol' Paula Dean on the whole 'this is why you need good PR people' list.
