The founder, and that company, is trash. I do judge people who eat there. While I understand many companies back bad shit, it's like the flag on top of the shit sandcastle. You don't go there. And try to avoid the others when/if you can.
man, i judge it bad. a lot of my coworkers go there regularly because there is one down the street and they are always like, "oh, you're still doing that? their food is good, so." when i tell them i refuse to eat there. wtf? yes, i am still adhering to my belief that their choices of organizations to support is fucked up and i will not give them my money.

Agreed, it's not hard to avoid when you know a portion of your money is funding anti-gay groups. Yes, it's difficult to be a super conscience consumer, and I'm not saying I always am, but CFA is such an obvious one to give up. I judge too.
Edith calls it The Mean Place because she wanted to go to their play place once and I had to explain why we don't eat there. I'm okay with my brainwashery.

A lot of heads of companies have opinions that would probably piss me off.
The difference for me is that not only is he vocal with his opinions while representing his company, but he has given Chik-Fil-A dollars to hate organizations. That is enough for me to never eat there again.
Meh, he has his views and he can express them. I don't think it's gonna matter much to his business.
but it's not just 'expressing his views' when he also uses them as the basis for distributing his business profits to hate groups
Yep, but again - his money = his decision on where it goes. Don't like it, don't eat there. I can find at least 2 other chicken sandwiches that taste better elsewhere...

It's not his money.
It's the company's money. Therefore anyone who eats there is supporting it.

You're probably right. Unfortunately the U.S. is full of people who could give two shits as long as they can fit a chicken sandwich in their piehole. But. But! It's kind of like buying a popsicle from the kid that likes to scream 'F*ggot!' at people. You don't want to associate with him, let alone give him your money. And, I think more people are realizing this d-bag CEO is that kid.
I just don't think that one more comment from him is going to suddenly change EVERYONE's mind, that's all. I figure that the people who were going to stop eating there because he gives his money to hate groups have already stopped doing so after the last hurrah. I find it hard to believe that there were people out there who were all 'well that last time he must have been joking, but after this tweet he's OBVIOUSLY serious!'

I get that. But I think that people know that now. This last tweet isn't exactly NEWS, if you know what I mean.

I don't understand the 'meh' attitude, obviously. I think that every comment could alienate more people, however many, however few. And, after the last mess w/r/t that place, they didn't need another 1950's comment from Numbnuts McGee, kwim?
this. if i hear one more person say, "well, me choosing to stop eating there isn't going to make a real difference." i'm going to scream. yes, it is. that's exactly how it works. you choosing to not react to fuckery is what invites more fuckery.

LOL - you're right -they don't need another 1950's esque comment! I would hope that it wouldn't help sell any more chicken for this guy - but there are a shit ton of bigots out there who will probably go buy 20 sandwiches just because he hates gays. I would certainly put this comment right up there with good ol' Paula Dean on the whole 'this is why you need good PR people' list.

Good PR people don't solve the core problem of bigotry.
my understanding was that they no longer donate to hate groups. I don't really care what Cathy's views are as long as the company is not donating to hate groups and is not discriminating in who they hire and who they serve.
