My baby might be born at the TX special session Monday

because my fat ass will be there. It starts at 2pm July 1st if any other Texans care! The Republicans are trying to have the bill be the first covered that afternoon, but there are also two other bills involved in this special session.

THERE IS NO HEARING ON MONDAY. Monday is just the first day of the 2nd special. The lawmakers will basically gavel in and out and the bills will just be referred to committee. This is why we're asking folks to hold off, so we can tell you when it's the most important time to be there. 4500 people are going to be disappointed that there are no legislative proceedings to attend. This is why we ask that you take direction from the "mainstream orgs" or whatever you want to call us.

yeah, the bills have to get through committees before there's much floor action. I don't know if they'll drag it out the full 30 days, but if the majority has half a brain, they'll get the transpo and federal conformity bills done FIRST this time.

Hey Suzy, where did you find that post?  Thanks for the update, btw.  I just shared it with some FB friends who were planning to attend Monday and they asked where I got the info.  I don't want to tell them about GBCN.
