So I have come to that age where everyone around me is getting married.
BF and I have already gone to three weddings this year and we have two more to go. We haven't been in any of the weddings, except for as musicians, so at least we're not buying bridesmaid/groomsman stuff. (That's next year, whee! lol)
Even then, this is expensive. How do you NOT go broke from this stuff, guys? Advice? Hints? I don't want to be cheap to my friends, but I'm not made of money and everybody on my side throws really lavish, expensive weddings, so I always feel pressure to be generous.
Dont feel pressured. Set a budget and stick to it. If you don't want to seem "cheap," but a few of the cheaper items that belong in a set--measuring cups, wine key and can opener, bathroom accessories. Don't spend more than you can afford.

Well, we did learn from TK the other day that a wedding is to make money for your future, so unless you want them to confront you after the wedding you better take out a personal loan
I don't have any tips, sorry. I guess some people might have a gift line in their budgets and have a formula for how much they give based on how much they saved to make all b-day, holiday, and weddings equal.
