It's a two hour assessment over the phone, which is then analyzed by psychologists. She started out with basic questions asking my name, etc. She asked, "what is your weight?" I paused and said, "um, 125 pounds". The lady died laughing and informed me that she asked my race, not weight. I told her that I thought it seemed like an odd question. Great way to start out lol.
Yes, it was two hours of hell. I guess they try to see if you maintain consistency because it seemed like they asked the same ten questions over and over using different words.
Captain Serious it is for work. We are merging with a new company and they are really big into this talent assessment and how it identifies your strengths and weaknesses. Usually one would take it before getting the position, but since it is a merger we all have to take them now. I'm guessing if your assessment doesn't line up with your responsibilities, there will be some transitions.

The only time I took an assessment for a job and they kept asking the same question using different words, it was a "character" assessment and they were trying to asses how honest I was. I did not pass, because I thought the questions represented different situations where I might act differently based on the situation.
Is there anyway this "talent" assessment will actually be used that way?
