You'll be great. And yes, TV is just fine for the toddler. My first kid's TV consumption went up by about 1000000% after the second one was born. LOL. Also, rain sucks. Bummer.
And I can't even begin to count how many episodes of Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First DD watched the first couple of weeks after DH went back to work. There doesn't seem to be any lasting damage.
You're in the survival phase. As long as you and the kids are all fed, safe, and alive at the end of the day you're doing great. If she watches extra TV for the next while as you all adjust and get into a routine it won't kill her. You'll be fine! Hope its easier than you expect a d y'all have a great day!

Survival phase is right. One task at a time, all day long. Don't think about how long you have to do this by yourself or anything, just think about what you are doing and what has to happen next after that, and do it. Before you know it, you'll be though the greater portion of the day and feel relieved. A few days like this, and you'll realize you CAN do this, and it will start to get easier, and on a little more time, maybe even fun. Just hang in there, take it a task at a time, and don't stress over TV time. You got this!

You'll do great, Grace!!! The first two weeks are chaos, but then something clicks and it's like you think, "I've got this." And then you really do! Fake it till you make it, Grace!! Ha!
Also, did I mention we are sort of potty training? Not my choice! Henry has decided he is ready, so we are obviously rolling with it. Just to add another layer of fun. Lol.

You can do this! My pregnancy exhaustion and nausea have left sprout and PBS kids running far more than ever before. He taught me about decay the other day thanks to Sid the science kid. No harm no foul
Good luck today. If everyone is fed, slept and has clean diaper/pull ups most of the day claim victory!!

Get him in pull-ups! He can pee and poop on the potty by himself. Seriously. Don't give yourself the stress of underwear right now. Sophia is walking around in a pull-up all day, and pees 90% of the time in the potty. I just don't have the energy to cut the other 10%.
Are you going back to work after? Did you pull him out of daycare? Because, um, I would recommend to send him back, lol. I would have never survived my maternity leave without the oldest in daycare.
listen, i don't have a #2 and i still plop my kid in front of curious george all day long. lol. ok, we aren't home a lot, but if we are home, curious george is on. in teh background. i don't feeel bad about this. and you definitely shouldn't.
Same here. And by "in the background" I mean that my kids are sitting there completely hypnotized like TV zombies. Especially on a rainy day.

Yup. I was petrified. Three months later, sometimes I still am. But really, one day at a time. Last week, it was more like one hour at a time.
DS watched a lot of tv.
And DS2 likes to be worn, so I'd strap him to me and we go about our day, much like we did pre-baby. You can do this!
