oh mee too! I've lost 40lbs since May 14th! I hope to have lost 50 by my birthday in July!
40lbs in two months?
I hope you're being safe with your weight loss...
I am. Let's just say that when you start from such a high place it's way, way way easier to put up big numbers. I have a staff. Literally a staff of nutritionists, nurses, doctors, etc who are monitoring me.
I am having weight loss surgery in September and was put on the "pre surgery" diet. And 'tis just falling off of me.

But I appreciate your concern.
I'm just curious because I sort of geek out on nutrition: what does the pre-surgery diet entail? If you don't mind me asking.

Woohoo! I've lost 8.5 on WW. Only 21.5 to go!! I'm the Queen of falling back into bad habits but I REALLY want to keep the weight off this time. Operation Get Hot.

The main focus is upping protein intake to 100 g a day, so as to promote healing. Now, this is super hard to do while also staying between 1200 to 1400 calories/day, so it's a lot of protein shakes.
The main part of the pre surgery diet is learning new habits, vs. what you are eating, and the habit changing is hard. No straws. No drinking with eating. Wait 30 minutes to drink after eating. That is SO hard for me.
Chewing every bite 50 times. Putting down your fork. Insanity.
The "diet" is more conditioning than anything else. I have quit alcohol and caffeine. Caffeine was SO hard. Also no carbonation and no gum chewing.

It's a bitch.
Oh my. That's...intense. But I'm glad it's working!
Side question: what is wrong with drinking while eating?

The drinking with eating thing is twofold
1. You are supposed to be mindful of everybite you put in your mouth and drinking takes away from your focus on the bite.
AND More importantly
2. When you have surgery, the size of your stomach is reduced and you feel full much sooner. If you drink while you are eating you can wash things through your stomach into your intestines and you will be able to eat more, therefore, you will not lose as much weight. You want your stomach to be full and not have food slide through.
Ice cream is not allowed because it's a "slider food" and you can eat through your surgery that way!

Oh okay, #2 makes total sense.
