They're SUCH GOOD KIDS. Like, well mannered, good temperaments, all the time. So far tantrums can be traced to a) complete over-tiredness or b) complete hunger.
My parents and sister are there, and my sister (who tells the truth be it hurtful or not) keeps going on and on about how always good they are.
I'm doomed, right?? They were hard sleep-wise until 7/8 months and it's just gotten progressively more awesome since then. I'm imagining an audible whooshing drop in behavior at ~2-3 lol. I'm skeered.
I have all the books I could need, and what more could I need than books? I shall only engage in commerce if books are the coin. -- Catherynne M. Valente
At 2 years old begins the era of screaming "NO!" to everything because they can.
Yes, this and
"I don't love YOU, I only love daddy!" (Or vice versa depending on the mood) "You PUSHED meeeeee" (When I gently guided her shoulders towards her room for bedtime)
So you aren't doomed. This is naturally a pretty good behavior age. But well yes, rougher times are ahead. :-)
I'm relishing it and trying out my Look and making sure they know Mama means business.
While tickling and chasing and doing all sorts of fun things. Yesterday morning it was animal noises.
It's SUCH a good age!!! Ack I was completely unprepared for the awesomeness.
12-18 months is my hands down favorite age. They are so EXCITED. And they are learning to talk and walk and discover their world. It is so fun to watch. But no attitude. They are just happy to be in their world.
I seriously could just eat Leo up everyday. He is perfection. Jack was the same at this age.
The fact that you lucked out doubly is pretty amazing.
My son is just 2 and is, honestly, so easy too. His tantrums are few and far between and are easily stopped with a dippy of milk or snack. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop any day now.

Not necessarily. Dd is 5.5 and was a breeze after she was 5 months old. No real issues with her, yet. I am sure the teenage years will be payback for an easy few years so far.
DS on the other hand is 17 months and is going to be reeeaaaallllyyy good at being 2 and 3. I need to take stock in wine.
Yup. M was an angel most of the time until she hit 3....now...we have no idea what Makayla we will get. The over-the-top awesome M, or the I-Just-Sprouted-Horns-and-You-Will-Suffer M. Three is still ridiculously fun when they aren't trying to kill you or themselves.
they might stay awesome. i'm not going to freak you out unnecessarily. my kid goes through stages where i want to run away from home (diaper avoiding ninja sucked. 18 mos falling out on the floor sucked. other stuff sucked.). but her fundamental nature has stayed the same. i'm lucky it's a good one.
this might mean i'm currently gestating the devil's spawn. we shall see.
