Tell me what I can do to go into labor! :-( I have been walking, bouncing on my exercise ball, taking evening primrose oil. Anyone have any other old wives tales? I will happily try them!
I tried to stay out of labor so I dont know, but I heard massage therapists can play with pressure points in your feet. Just keep hanging in there. I know it's the most uncomfortable thing in the world to have a person in your stomach, but it will be over with soon enough and there will be times you'll want to put that little man back where he's safe and sleeeeep. . Remember the longer he cooks the better he will breath!
Get a Pedicure. SEX. Spicy Foods Do you have a breast pump? Hook'em up - we'll really any kind of nipple stimulation. SEX. Did I mention sex? A friend of mine did a Pump induction, but she also took some other herbs and I wouldn't suggest that unless you know what you are doing. Drink a large amount of red raspberry leaf tea. Walk.

I'm probably I'm the minority here, and I'm all about letting the baby choose when they are ready. I personally wouldn't attempt to induce, even naturally unless you were past your due date or there was a edical reason and you were trying to avoid medical induction. But that's just my $.02.

I'm there in the minority with you. Being overdue was annoying, but babies knows when they're done cooking. Don't worry, that baby WILL come out!
I went into labor within 24 hours of eating one (enormous) piece, but who knows if that's what did it. I just figured, hey, worst case scenario, the cake doesn't do a darn thing and then all I'm doing is eating awesome chocolate cake. There is no downside!

My water broke for Beckett within hours of eating spicy food and having sex (not purposely trying to go in to labor, just coincidence) , so I always thought that must've been what did it. But Maisy was a week late, and it didn't matter that I ate spicy food and had lots of sex.
I do agree though in letting a baby came when they are ready though. I stayed pregnant two miserable weeks from when my doctor wanted to induce me out of convenience (no medical reason for it), but in the end she came when she was ready to, which was important to me.
