So the mayor of Montreal was forced to quit a few months ago after the whole scandal of corruption, mafia and city contractors was revealed. Then the mayor of Laval (Montreal's biggest suburb) was arrested for gangsterism.
Then the Montreal interim mayor (who was presented as being super clean and non corrupt) was arrested a couple of weeks ago for his involvement with the whole corruption/contracts scandal.
Now the Laval interim mayor quit his position following being blackmailed by a prostitute/escort that he apparently used.
OMG. I would move to Toronto, but I am not sure that will help, lol. @booby janiejonesiamgrace
But is it true that there's an underground mafia that manages and almost controls the maple syrup market? I swear I heard this on NPR like, well truthfully a while ago. It made me laugh.

I was just saying that Quebec is having a hard time with mayors. Toronto is definitely worse. I'm in Calgary which somehow has traveled into the Twilight Zone and now has the greatest of mayors in Canada.
