Has multiples and they have been sitting on them since TUESDAY. Still no answer, I am certain the sellers are trying to use our offer to leverage the other buyers up. Grrrr.
Yep, they're trying to play offers against one another. It's been happening a lot in my neighborhood. It sucks so hard to be a buyer in a sellers' market.
Today. That's how I know they are playing us; the other offer would have already expired, so they must be in contact. It makes me want to take my ball and go home.
I am comforted only that we have a house and a condo to unload, so I can get *some* joy out of this market. AND once we do we are going to buy a vacation house. So I'll have my nice big new home in the city and a house on a lake. Very excited.

Sucks when you're a buyer for sure. And honestly, it's not very good for the market either. This frenzy does remind me of the bubble - we're not that far over the edge yet, but getting close. If you have buyers needing to offer over asking, no inspection, etc then ultimately we're going to have some disappointed homeowners out there, because they felt like they overpaid, or they don't truly like the house. Alright, I'm off my soapbox now.
Argh, I'm sorry to hear they're not getting back to you
When we had to go through our offers, I felt so bad having to tell the other couples that we didn't go with our offer but at least we didn't leave them hanging...that's just no good
If you didn't put a quick expiration on your offer, do it next time. The perception of limited inventory has agents pulling this shit so they can get a more frenzied interest. It's gay
No, it's something my dad would do. Actually, my dad hates other people's games so much he makes up his own. He was selling his house and the buyers counter offered too low. So he countered again even higher than his asking price. He is a strange man.
