I thought she and I were planning on taking the kiddo and going out to dinner. However, her SO was getting off work around 5 for once (he's usually 8 or 9pm), so he was cooking up a nice dinner for them.
We still had a great visit for a cpl hrs during kiddo's nap, but I was looking forward to nice food with her. She and I like delicious food, so we go to different restaurants than my h normally would choose since he goes for "fill the stomach" (though he does appreciate good food as well)
I thought I had my evening occupied as well.
Boo.
Bummer. But I'll live. I don't blame her, they rarely get time at home together.
ETA: evening occupied as I basically won't see dh til Tuesday w/ work schedule

BOO.
I get wanting time w/ the husband, but that sucks that you thought you were going out, and then have to stay home. Ugh, what a let down.
Tell you what. When you're up to it, you come over here, we can leave the kids w/ H and let them go nuts in the basement, and we'll go out for some ridiculously good food at your restaurant of choice.

I love this idea!!!
(does your h?) and yeah, when you don't get to see your h much, it's awesome to get a dinner together. I was just super thrilled about good food. I miss that part of downtown life b/c even when I was home alone or w/o car, I'd call a restaurant, pop C in the stroller, walk over, and pick up my delicious dinner. We had a TON of nationalities' cuisine w/in walking distance except for Indian. Mmmmmm. I could go for cuban or greek tonight. I've been havign huge greek cravings and yet have to act on them.
Puss in Boots is entertaining the kid. She's still sore from her shots and getting sad and falling a little when she walks around. Tetanus shot in the leg.
