We're throwing a 70th birthday party for MIL next weekend. So far we have 22 adults and 2 kids and we're waiting for 6-8 more people to RSVP. A lot of these guests are church friends. The party is from 1-4pm, so I'm preparing some light appetizers but I'm stuck on figuring out how much to provide in terms of drinks. I'm going to provide lemon/cucumber water, iced tea (with mint simple syrup & lemons on the side), wine, and beer.
I would probably budget for no more than two drinks per adult given that it's an early afternoon birthday party, so maybe three cases of beer and 15 bottles of wine.
