So I'm eating a magnum mini ice cream bar tonight. Just in case!
Fingers crossed. I will cry if I have gd. I avoided it w/ c's pg but *just* past the first test. It's hard enough to find food that doesn't make me puke.
I'm Trying not to bitch. I suck at pg and am by no means one of those lah-di-dah breezy pg women and wish I were. But I will since you asked. Or was I just supposed to say great! (I mainly do IRL, no one really wants to hear. ).
Massive sciatica pains where I can't turn over at night w/I crazy pain (and when I walk to the bathroom). I know I should slow it down but I hate just sitting at home and that's boring for kiddo. We do a combo of playing at home and try to do a lot of fun or cultural things. She even got to play a violin and cello the other day!!
Puking- slowed. (Or I just take zofran sooner because I'm over it. 5.5 months puking multiple times daily is so unfun) I'm down to 1-2 times a day mostly so that's kind of nice. Well, in a weird way. I've been able to eat a little easier this past week. Wonder if I'll be above pre-pg weight at this appt hah. (I weigh too much to start, so there's been no concern I lose instead of gain as long as I drink water) I think the puking is the biggest damper on my enthusiasm. Diaper changes suckkkkkkk when you puke
Heartburn, insomnia, etc, I could go on, but it's the standard list of woes. Kid better be cute and smart for all this fun
On the bright side- kid is kicking away, esp at night like his sister did. No scares or bleeding with this one, yay!! And every pg woman has crap to deal with. I haven't had to go to the hospital, so that's great!
I am tired of summer pregnancies. I have spent 3 of the last 4 summers pg the entire summer and the one summer off was nursing/pumping every 4 hrs. I desperately want a/c in our house. We had apartments w a/c the last pregnancies. It's only hit the 90s a few weeks so far, though, so I haven't killed Dh. (Yet)
I had severe sciatica and finally found relief! I feel it's my duty to share tips.
See a chiro. I only needed 3 visits. Use ice, not heat. Ginger is a natural and pg safe anti-inflammatory! Not as good as Alieve, but way better than Tylenol. Magnesium Phosphate (cell salts) are a natural muscle relaxer and help with muscle cramps, including leg cramps. I also ordered a TENS machine. DH found one on Amazon for $20. It basically shocks your nerve and blocks pain signals to your brain. Everything is midwife and chiro approved!
