We have a bar section of our kitchen counter that faces the living room that would be perfect for bar stools. It's 75 inches long - how many stools do you think we can/should fit there?
Most of the styles we've looked at have been around 16-18" wide. So we could technically fit four but would that look crowded?
If it matters, right now it is just H and I but we plan on having 2 kids someday.

Another vote for three. If you have a couple kids or invite another couple over, someone is bound to be standing/moving around/cooking/etc any time you're in the kitchen.
Four chairs in that space leaves next to no arm room. Three is cutting it tight but better. Two chairs will leave lots of room for function but may seem a bit barren. I would decide between two and three.
I have read that you should allow something like 26-30 from the center of one bar stool to the center of the next...even more if the stools swivel and have large arms.
