Have you read the last few? the brandon whatisface ones?
I haven't done it yet. Can't decide if i care. i can't even remember a single thing that happened in Knife of Dreams.
I'll probably get them from the library at some point. But it's just kinda messed up that a series I started reading in 1998 is still going. I can only care for so long.

I've read all of them, part of the reason I still do is because they've been going on so long. I started reading them in middle school, I can't stop til it's over! It's been part of my life for so long I can't give up on it. There's only one left, which should be out next spring.
Sanderson does have a noticeably different writing style. I feel like he doesn't have as large a vocabulary as RJ because he tends to use the same descriptors over and over for particular characters. The books are still moving pretty slowly through most of it then a little too fast in other parts, overall he just isn't as good of a writer. However I don't feel that the story has gotten more boring than the last 2-3 RJ-only books though.... There are still some good parts. If you could make it through the last RJ books you can make it through the rest!
Nope! I also started them in middle school. I was really into them for a while, but then it would be a year or more between books and I'd forget what had happened. So I'd be reading and be like "who the heck is this again?" and "what happened last time?". I finally gave up. I *really* wanted to see how it ended. But wasn't it only supposed to be 8 books? I gave up after like 10 when it was totally dragging, nothing happened, and I couldn't remember how it even started. The first book was always the best.
Honestly, I enjoyed them way more than the last RJ books. Nearly the last straw for me was the book RJ did that covered, what, eight hours? Ridiculous. Sanderson's are at least MOVING. No long descriptions of clothing, no constant sniffing, no braid pulling. I like them more.
