OK this is a really dumb question I'm sure but I have googled my butt off and I'm still not 100% sure. Please note I have not been on an airplane in about 10 years!
When flying Southwest, is your boarding pass your ticket? I remember it being seperate for some reason but online it seems to say you just need to do early check in and bring your boarding pass. It just seems too easy to me. Idk. I would hate to show up at the airport without everything I need!
Haha thanks ladies! And sorry for any typos, this was from my phone
I usually check in online before I leave the house, and print my boarding pass from home. Or I bring the credit card I booked with and check in at the kiosk and get my passes there. It's really easy .
Southwest doesn't assign seats. When you check in you're "assigned" a boarding group and number - which is essentially the order you are in line getting on the plane. (Group A, B & C ... I feel like there's 60 numbers in each boarding group - but it's been a bit since i flew Southwest). Even if you don't print your boarding pass at home, checking in online, as close to 24 hours before takeoff, will get you a better place in line (and better pick of seats)
The answer to your question is that yes, your boarding pass is your ticket. Either print at home, show it on your phone via their app, or you can print it at the kiosk/counter at TIA.
