Penn State main campus in State College always does a 4th of July fireworks show. It has music. We go every few years and Husband asked if I wanted to go tomorrow. I'm not really feeling it. In order to see the "ground level" fireworks, you have to get there at damn near noon to ensure a spot for 8:30/9pm up front. And then we'd have to walk to find a spot and all I want to do is be lazy and watch things explode and it takes 10 million years to get out of there.
I'm hoping his family has some other plan, like a neighbor setting them off or something. I'd be down for that. Mostly because I don't want to spend all freaking afternoon waiting for fireworks.
I'm with you. Traffic is so incredibly terrible after the fireworks here that I haven't gone in years. Sitting in traffic for an hour to go 8 miles makes me ragey.

My husband and dd#1 are heading to the cabin tomorrow. Dd#2 is sick and staying home with me. She's on strong antibiotics so I'm hoping she's well enough tomorrow to go watch fireworks......they launch close to our house so it is a quick trip. It seems weird to not do fireworks on the 4th.......although we'd obviously stay home of she isn't feeling well.

Not going anywhere to watch fireworks. I hate the crowds and the parking and then trying to leave. Around here it's insanity. I'm not trying to spend hours getting there and back. We're probably just going to set off our own at a friend's house tomorrow and call it a day.
