We are doing a big kiddo cookout this weekend and I wanted to make a bunch o pbj sandwiches. Can I make these ahead and keep them in the refrigerator the night before? I'd like to minimize my work the day of. Thanks!
When I make pb&j for work lunches I almost always make them the night before and put them in the fridge. They're always just fine. I don't double up on pb (put it on both sides) either.
Yes, I think they'd be fine. Put PB on both sides & jelly in between so they don't get soggy.
I agree, that's how we always did it when I was a kid. One year in Sunday School we made a bunch of PB&J's ahead of time for a church picnic and that was the official method we had to use so the bread didn't get soggy.
