So I wear about 1/4 of my closet. I'm in a purging mood and am thinking about trying to cosign and/or donate a lot of them. Part of the problem is that my weight fluctuates so much. Right now I am a 10 but I have everything from 6 to 14 in my closet. The tricky part is, I am simultaneously losing weight and TTC so I have no idea what size I will be 1, 3, 6 months from now. I'm about 20 pounds above my lowest adult weight and 50 pounds below my highest ever weight.
What do you typically do with clothes that are too big or too small for you? Do you hang on to them in case you change sizes again or do you get rid of anything that doesn't fit you rightthismoment?
Is anyone going to be around for awhile and interested in sharing their opinion about what I should keep and what I should get rid of? I tried on and took pics of most of my questionable things and would love opinions.
I pack my stuff away. I try to just keep things like denim, basics, and things I really have a strong like for. I have found that even though my weight fluctuates, so does my style so anything too specific, I will usually just get rid of after a certain amount of time.
The "more stripes" looks great on you, and I agree that the last one would be good for pregnancy. I don't think that's crazy, but I have TTC on the brain, so I may be the crazy one!

Here's some colour, frkls. I think this one is too big though. It's also super wrinkly at the bottom. I only wore it once to a wedding, 2 years ago and it's been in the closet ever since.
I LOVE the one you called "more stripes." It's a cute dress and looks good on you.
If you are in love with any of the ones that are too tight right now, I'd be inclined to keep them, but then again, I have probably half my wardrobe right now that does not fit me, so I am not the most objective person to ask lol.
A few years ago when I lost a ton of weight, I sold or donated all my stuff that was too big. It was very freeing.
.....Then over the last year or so, the weight crept back on. I ended up with a closet full of stuff that was too-tight and had to spend a bunch of money to buy more clothes at my old size and kicked myself for getting rid of it.
I know I should have just not gained the weight back lol. But I did, it happened, and I needed clothes to wear, so now I am paranoid about getting rid of too-big clothes when I lose weight.
Polka dot dress and the shorter of the stripe dresses - keep! I thought the red dress with the flowered collar or whatnot and the print/preg dress were cute too. Blouses look great. Ditch the blazers.
