Someone across the street is BLASTING techno/house sounding music. All I hear is bass. It is repetitive and really annoying. Why is it that I never get the urge to do this? Am I the weird one, or is this kind of behavior rude. I wouldn't even do this if I was having a party. Turn the music up for your guests, not the whole street!
The neighbors next door always sit out in their truck in the driveway to smoke (they are renting, and I am assuming the owner said no smoking in the house). They will BLAST music at all hours of the night and day when they do this for 10-15 min. increments. One night it was so loud at 11:00 that through closed windows, I could hear every word of the song and the walls were vibrating. Had it continued for a few min. longer, the police would have been called.
Now, the neighbor on the other side of us has been working in his backyard the past few days and has a radio station on while he works. If I am in my house I can't hear it, if I am out with Rox, I can. But it's not obnoxious and it's only during the afternoon, so I'm OK with it.
It's like those people who drive around with their music BLASTING and the windows down. Um, thanks guy for sharing your music with everyone in town. We are all very impressed.
I hate that crap. Our neighbor's son does that in his car and it drives me crazy! If I can feel the bass or hear the words to your shitty music, it's too loud.
My step dad does this, except with movies. He's always buying the next biggest and loudest home theatre system. Its awful. The guy works with dynamite for a living, so I imagine his hearing is shot.

LOL
The best is when the windows are all up and the car is still making those vibrating bass sounds. OMG

I get so nervous whenever a new family moves onto our street because (fingers and toes crossed, knocking on wood) our neighborhood has been blissfully free from obnoxiously loud music in the last couple of years. Our neighbors to the south do have outdoor parties every few months, but they're very careful to take things inside and turn the music down by 10:00.
No. I never have my or tv loud. Not even when it's an ok part of the day. Luckily the neighbors have been pretty good. We've only had to go over once to ask them to turn it down. Since we're on our 3rd neighbor in 4 years (apt complex), I think we're doing pretty well.

Once my neighbor commented on my wide range of taste in music. I said, "oh I'm really sorry- I didn't realize it was loud enough for you to hear!" He said "I didn't hear any music, I heard you singing for a while there...." Yeah. I have a tendency to put in my headphones and belt out whatever plays on my pandora shuffle while I work. Apparently I had my office window open. Now I make sure they are closed, lol.

One of DH's friend had this shitty looking car, but it had an excellent sound system. Whenever a car pulled up next to him with their music blasting, he would turn some whale sounds on his speakers and drown their music out.
