they have some BIG explosives! they're gorgeous! h estimates that the three big displays we just saw would regularly be $300. so maybe it was more than 1/2 off!
i would seriously rather watch this from my garage or deck than go somewhere. these ain't bottlerockets!!

nice. too bad they might be stolen.
there was a lady on the news up here (this is only the 2nd 4th that fireworks are legal, so still a news story) who was planning on dropping $800 when they interviewed her in the store. I can't imagine blowing up $800 just b/c it's the 4th, but priorities I guess.
Hopefully they don't cause a fire on someones roof.
I am always so paranoid about this happening to me. There's a basketball court behind my house that everyone seems to think is the best place to light off illegal fireworks.
Hope those fireworks weren't't stolen--maybe some friends from out of state brought them over?
My neighbors must have too. The ones they are setting off are illegal in MN but I'm 5 miles from the WI border so I'm sure they got them there. They woke DD up so I'm not happy.
sorry - the stolen thing was a joke. i feel pretty confident they weren't. maybe something closer to someone knowing someone that procures larger fireworks for cities and towns.
i would be a lot more pissed about this if C didn't sleep straight through them. or if they were anywhere close to our roof.
