All the super high heels around now are tough for me to wear because it seems I can never get the right size. My foot just gets pushed so far forward that my heel was constantly slipping up the back.

Last summer I was on some kind of kick about dressing more like a grown-up and looking more put-together than my usual SAHM attire. I got a pair of super high heels when I was following some fashion blogs and thought, "I can totally wear heels like that!"
Nope. Especially not with a toddler. So they are sitting in my closet collecting dust.
I saw a mom in the grocery store in the most obscene heels I've ever seen. I swear these things were like 7 inches with a platform. It was so bizarre that I couldn't stop staring. She was hobbling around with her 8-ish year old daughter in tow, just doing her shopping on Tuesday afternoon like it was no big deal to barely make it to the end of the cereal aisle.
I took dd and her BFF shoe shopping for their 8th grade dance. It was hilarious watching them try on 5" plus heels. Her BFF actually fell over at one point. They settled on 3" heels and they could totally walk and dance in them. I have a pair of 6" inch heels that I love but rarely wear. I can walk in them fine but not for hours.
I can walk/run/dance in heels. But the crazy super high ones kept doing funny things with my heel. But, if you are hobbling around while wearing sexy shoes, you don't look sexy anymore.
Agreed. This is why I stick with wedges for height.
I actually find it harder to walk in wedges. At least you can bend your feet in heels.
I love wedges. I had an old pair from Old Navy that were my bar/going out shoes. They were cute, really comfortable and I could dance up a storm in them. For me, all heels have to have good dance factor.
