Alaska air taxi - so smaller plane. 10 dead.

So sad. A float plane went down a few hours north of us earlier on the weekend with 3 casualties. So heartbreaking.

Just landed at SFO and passed the plane that crashed yesterday. It has spotlights all around it. Eerie.

I have been working and have seen 2 crashes that had fatalities. Pilot error both times.

I have worked millions of planes that have landed with no issues. On the flip side I have witnessed planes land with no gear, run off the runway, engine failures, lost engines, fire in the cockpit, pilots with medical emergencies, a hypoxic pilot, propeller hit the runway, and many many many more crazy things thay had no fatalities.

Two crashes that had fatalities vs. millions of flights that no one got seriously hurt on. I'll take flying any day.

We were talking about the safety of driving vs. flying as we were boarding our flight on Sunday afternoon. I know logically it's pretty darn safe, and am thankful for it! That makes my anxiety slightly better.

It was a single prop plane. We have lots of small plane crashes up here, but 10 people dying is a lot.
