No, the only buffet I ever eat at is the one at my parents' country club (only available on holidays, like Mother's Day and Easter, for brunch) and even then we always go first thing in the morning so we are among the first in line. Both my dad and I are huge buffet snobs. The thought of eating something that someone has sneezed on or touched with their grubby fingers grosses me out.
We go out to eat a lot, though, so I'm sure we have enjoyed some less-than-pristine places. I try not to think about it.
And now I want to go eat at a salad bar, I would think this post should have the opposite effect.
LOL, that's where I'm at. I could totally go for a junk food salad and a yeast roll the size of my head.
I haven't been to a Golden Corral since I was a teenager, but I would go again depending on what my options were. Like others have said, I just assume gross stuff goes down at most places where food is served.
I didn't watch the video, but I don't do buffets. They gross me out.
FIL wanted to take the whole family to Country Buffet a few months ago (something he has never done, but wanted to after MIL passed away - as a way for us all to go out together; it was a sweet gesture).
We walked in & the first thing we all encountered was vomit on the floor, right inside the front door. I was apparently the only one bothered by it. (WTF?) And I saw kids picking up food with their bare hands & putting it back after they decided they didn't want it. Ew.
I will fake sick to not go, should FIL ever decide to do that again. I will not ever go to another buffet place like that again.
I used to love the ice cream bars at places like this. Vanilla-chocolate swirl soft serve ice cream with rainbow sprinkles is heaven to me. But I never liked the food itself, and I can't eat enough to justify the price even if I did enjoy the food.
I haven't had it in years, but I loved the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday. Their pumpernickel croutons were yummy. I'm sure employees have gross stories to tell about it.
I've never been and never will. DH has said he would go but I don't know if he really would. The only buffet I eat at is Sweet Tomatoes, a giant salad bar. Yuuuuum.

I wish they had one of these closer to where I live.
